Do you know how to increase energy with Holybread?

I started playing Holybread.

I am still not sure what the fun of it is but the good thing is during a quest I can do something else. So far my slow connection is not in my way.
What I cannot figure out is if this game is still active. I have strong doubts about it if I see the lack of Rules how to play it (this is just a link to a post with no information) and questions asked by others on Discord (and not answered).
Transferring breadcrumbs with steem-engine doesn't work, neither does buying from the shop.

I am running out of energy!

No where I can find an option to gather more. Not playing doesn't increase my energy level either.
