Meet Val Campbell
With more than 40 years of experience in business ownership, consulting, leadership, and team building, Val Campbell brings a lifetime of practical business experience to Second Desk Consulting.
Val began his career in the construction industry as an estimator and project manager. At just 30 years old, he was selected to lead the United States division of an international construction group.
When the company’s foreign parent organization closed following the energy industry collapse in Canada, Val responded by building his own company—with six of his key team members joining him.
His success eventually led other businesses to seek his help with restructuring and revitalization. He went on to help turn around three additional companies before joining a premier consulting group in Bellevue, Washington.
Over the years, Val has:
• Served on executive, directing, and advisory boards
• Worked with companies across 50+ industries
• Completed 20+ business turnaround projects
• Helped organizations restructure and improve performance
• Consulted for an attorney general investigating corruption
• Built and led teams through significant business challenges
In 2020, Val began another chapter of his career: becoming an author. He has now published nine novels, with eight more nearing completion.
His expertise also extends to live video production, blogging, podcasting, and strategic social media management.
