Vrukshathon was born as an idea to be the principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
Vrukshathon Half Marathon is a flagship event conceptualized & organised by Vrukshathon Foundation on the Sunday followed by World Environment Day - 5th June every year; to spread environmental awareness and promote the spirit of health & fitness.
In the inaugural year - 10th June 2018, we distributed a tree sapling to all 2000 participants who
successfully completed the run.
Following Which, as pledged in 2018, all participants who preserve the tree sapling & show documented growth of the tree as proof, were given free registrations for the year - 2019. The response we received for this initiative was tremendous.
The Vision and Mission of Vrukshathon Foundation is to spread the message that it is impossible for humans to survive and be fit without trees and a healthy environment, hence we need to learn to co-exist with
nature.
