Starting a new hobby was always a question of when rather the how. The amount of things to try in our lifetime is without a doubt a number greater then the time we have, and so to choose the right one later in life is important more then ever before.

I've always wanted to do many things, but was limited to do so, wheather that be due to being financially limited or just didn't have enough time on my hands. Well, I'm happy to share with you one thing, and that's my new hobbie I've picked up pretty much this instant, as in today. I'm talking about photography.

I'm really really new to all this, and all of the photography I've managed to do up until now has been through a lens on my smartphone. After much consideration and medium research, I've decided to buy myself a new and first ever DSLR camera. Camera I've purchased is Nikon D5600, and to start off in a beginers kind of way, I bought a couple of lenses. The two lenses I'll be using and learning with are AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR, and Tamron AF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD Macro 1:2.
There are many better accessories on the market to go with the camera, but I'm pretty sure that these will do for now.

Instantly, I was and still am overwhelmed by the amount of functions there are to be found on these kind of cameras just to take a simple photo. I can tell you that I've drained the battery before even taking a photo worth showing to anyone. But not to worry, there's hope and a light at the end of the tunnel, or shall I say 'at the end of the lens'.
A good friend of mine has offered to give a crash course of how to improve on pretty much every aspect of what I've been doing so far. He told me to not get frustrated if it doesn't go as planned, because good things take time, and this is definitely something good that's happening.

So far I've tried to take photos of everything, and I mean everything! From objects around the house and outdoors, to insects (if they don't move too much), even my cat. Okay, my cat never stays still, so I'll probably try to snap some photos when she's asleep.

What I'll be doing and starting today is adding my signature @Vraba Photography to the photos I'll be taking and posting, so that in weeks and months go by, I'll be able to see how much (if any) I've improved. And to do that I have to start very much right now, in this article. I present to you a few photos. They are far from being on par in quality with what I see and come across on here, but it's never to early to start.

Being windy outside didn't help at all and neither did my shaking hands.

A couple of our garden's fruits. On the photo below being blackberries.

I'm confident that I'll progress to better stages of taking photographs, and surely in no time they'll look much more crisp then the above snaps. Smartphones do all the work for you, which come to think of, it kind of ruins the fun!

Excited? Yes!...Am I neglecting the rest of the things on my to do list for today because I've been doing nothing but messing around with the camera? Also yes!

Thank you for stopping by and take care!
