I love nature and I love scary movies, and I think this image does a pretty good job at representing that.
Would you agree with that?
I was doing a portrait session with a model who was wearing everything black, from the make up to the clothes and even her hair. We were trying to embrace that part of her personality and so we decided to give the shoot a bit of a sinister look.
As we were walking back to the main entrance to the park we had gone to to do the shoot, we walked pass this big tree in the distance. It was standing by itself, surrounded by nothing but grass. There was a storm incoming and I thought the contrast between the late afternoon light and the dark sky were a great combination of elements for the creation of somewhat of a "dark" shot. I asked the model to go stand on the lonely bench by the tree and let the wind and the light do their job.
I took a couple of snaps and this is the one I was the happiest with.
