A new poem can also be sparked by a person, a question, or a phrase about the meaning of life, or even something more banal... I mean, it would be nice to create something that gives me satisfaction, but I can't always manage it. So, to write a new poem, I try a bit of everything, but I don't let myself get discouraged; at most, I modify it in the future and then see what to do.

So, to answer your question: from my point of view, poems shouldn't be forced, but they shouldn't be entirely let go, either. They need to be thought about intensely, almost to the point of exhaustion, to refine those few lines you had in your head before transcribing them onto paper... But I don't mean endless, continuous self-pressure. Just a brief, intense burst of focus that triggers that feeling of euphoria for the poem you've created.

And who knows, maybe over time something even more beautiful will emerge. But you must never force yourself, and you must never overthink the same thing for too long. You have to think, let it go, and then do the same the next day, until the moment you hold something greater in your hands.

I hope it's clear what I'm getting at and what I mean.
