Neverwinter is a free to play, massively multiplayer online role - playing game based on the acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons. First time playing it and it looks awesome. The game is a direct morph between already famous Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and a few others with the exception of a new engine and good graphics. Didn't aspect much since the trailer looked a bit cheesy.
Through the character customization you choose race, class, ability scores and appearance which you can fully customize. Races are: Drow, Dwarf, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Halfling, Human, Menzoberranzan Renegade, Moon Elf, Sun Elf, Tiefling, Wood Elf and Dragonborn and there are eight classes: Trickster Rogue, Devoted Cleric, Control Wizard, Hunter Ranger, Great Weapon, Fighter, Guardian Fighter, Scourge Warlock and Oathbound Paladin.
I chose the drow race and hunter ranger class, mainly because I've never played as an archer in other games and I wanted to test that out.
Firstly you need to pass few missions alone before you can join the multiplayer.
After finishing the missions I managed to meet up with a friend and together we started taking the quests and started progressing through the game.
I played eleven hours on the record and managed to reach level 11, but since I'm still a noob to this game I am pretty sure it possible to reach higher levels in shorter amount of time. Playing as an archer is okay, still learning though.
To sum up, the combat is fun, especially in PVP. With every class having its own unique skills and movements, each has a different system of building up power to become more powerful, consume souls, turn invisible and ultimately creating more vicious moves.
Cheers,
