At first I idolized the Kawasaki ninja, and eventually the KTM rc390, or the yamaha r3, each priced around $5-6k; then there is the used market, private sales or from a dealership, an old bike or a modern bike, you can get an old one for $1,500 expect 20k or more miles, and by old I mean thirty plus years. Modern, lightly used sport bikes and cruisers, with 5,000 miles or more can be bought for $3-4k. Now what if your like me , most of your money is in crypto and you took a hit with the recent market crash, and you don’t want an old motorcycle?
There are companies like venommotorsportsusa, Belmontebikes, 360powersports & more which offer layaway programs, pay what you can monthly from 6-10months or longer. Here you can find brand new sport bikes and cruisers up to 250ccs priced from $2,000 &up.
Lastly there is alibaba. Here you can contact manufactures from around the world direct. I personally am in touch with a couple including Sinski motors & Dong Fantu who produce 200-400cc sport bikes for a shipped to you price of $1,500 & up.
I am currently considering a 279.5cc sportbike water cooled with abs from sinski, and another 200cc for $1,500 from dong fantu, both Chinese manufacturers.
I can be out riding in a mater of weeks with the latter option.
