You've heard of it and all you know is that everybody's doing it. You're probably asking yourself how do I even HODL?!
Well, let's start by defining the term for those few who perhaps are not aware.
Voice, I know what HODL means and what coins I want, but how do I even know when the time is right to buy? Well, that can be very subjective, but I can tell you what I'm looking for.
I keep an eye on my watch list of coins every day and what I'm looking for is a massive sell off. When the price drops significantly (~50% or more) I will generally buy them at some point during the panic selling.
So, now you're HODL how do you even keep HODLing?
This can be the hardest part that most people run into. These speculative plays are HODL for the long term because we expect exponential gains out of them in the future. However, in the mean time, these are highly volatile instruments that would drive even the most stone cold traders to question their purchase.
My advice to you is to not look at your profit/loss at all. When you want to check up on one of your HODLs you should just read the latest news and get yourself up to date on it's developments.
Trust me watching those numbers swing around wildly will change your decision making process and in my experience not for your benefit.
