The farmlands, Pryldahn, 1436 ATC
Discovering that this freed elf who had been stalking the God Queen, Taitsau Selkanor had a decent bounty on him and apparently had strangled several men in the area, Venser stood in front of the mirror examining a new outfit he had bought. A simple grey woolen tunic and a darker waterproof leather poncho with an asymmetrical cape. Akin to what smallfolk mostly wore and along with the cape, along with the utility belt he had added, it had style. His classic outfit, the red rubber suit with rubber nipples and an oversized codpiece stood out way too much. His entertainer tunic did as well with it's colors. This one, rather drab, drew less attention.
He pulled his grey hood over his head, and followed it up with something that would draw attention. A rather stylish scarf that covered the bottom portion of his face, a swirling golden pattern printed on dark purple silk. The colors completely clashed but Venser decided to go with it anyways. Just this once. Not like it would matter in the end, anyways. The bearded man made sure his wrist bow was secure on his left arm, and made sure he had his strange folding blade with him. Not only would he ease the God Queen's worries, but also snag himself a fine bounty.
The leven man began shuffling his feet through the plains around Castle De Seraphim, footsteps growing heavier with each step. He was wandering for a mere few months, and it was lonesome and tiring but he trekked forward, low on supplies he knew he would have to stop soon. ''Possibly at this little cottage...'' He thought to himself, only having about twenty more steps until he reached, seeing a modest cottage with a small garden on the side and a horse hitched to a post atop a small hill. Once finally atop he was welcomed with a gentle breeze, whisking his hair in a sly wave. Grinning and closing his eyes while this happened... He enjoyed it when the elements decided to be friendly. The man reached into his pack and pulled out a half eaten biscuit which he had finished, it being the last portion of his food with no water left in his skin already. The fog was slightly heavy but finally moved itself from the hills and mountains. He had grinned and rested for a little under ten minutes before returning to his trek. His ears perked, twitching against the air as they picked up on some commotion coming inside. His stomach dropped and he began feeling eager and nervous with each footstep he moved himself to the front door, removing his studded belt and kicking the door open, stepping right into an argument between a farmer and his wife. The middle aged couple stopped and looked to him.
''I need your horse, your food, and your coin everything you have hidden!''
He reached to his shoulders to unclasp his long fur like cape, removing it from his form and held it in his arms... Letting it drag on the floor slightly as he took a few steps more around the place, making himself comfortable. His forest green eyes shot from one area to the next to take in the settings to again. Enjoy it for the moment he was there, he wasn't expecting to stay long unless he had a reason. And he didn't. Glancing down to the corpse of the balding man against the wall, his wife bound and gagged and terrified beyond all belief he sighed. First, he would rest, eat, and then strangle the woman, watching the light leave her eyes. The farmer, put up a quick resistance and Taitsau quickly put an end to him, slashing him across the stomach with his short katana before stabbing him through the heart. Much too fast for his taste. The wife, he was going to go slow with her...
Until a voice came from the front door, a voice that was deeper and richer in a soothing and yet intimidating way when spoken in the right tone.
''Tittysoup Sulkanor, I presume.'' Said Venser, hood up, the sun casting a shade hiding his eyes beneath the hood, scarf covering the lower half of his face.
''What the... How'd you find me so fast?'' The elf asked, scowling and rising from his seat, drawing his short katana. ''Whose helping you track me?! What other bounty hunter? Severus of Pryldahn? The Hound? Sick sick man that one was... I think he was actually a demon!'' He spat on the ground.
''All me. A freed elf walking all the way from the capital to the farmlands dressed like you... I just asked around if anyone had witnessed you. And I was planning on coming out here anyways looking for property.'' Venser said with a shrug, glancing down to the blade on his belt for a second, then to the short blade the elf held in one hand. He looked again to the corpse and the terrified older woman, face stained with tears and screaming for help beneath the gag in her mouth.
''No more innocent people are going to be strangled to death just for the fun of it. Or be tied up or be afraid of you.'' Venser boldly boasted promptly, causing the elf to laugh.
''What? Seriously? Pfffftt… Ha ha ha… Next thing you're going to tell me is that you're going to be the first man on the moon. Smug piece of trash!'' Taitsau hissed, lunging at Venser with surprising speed.
''Argh! Fuck!'' The short katana left a shallow cut in Venser's left shoulder before he could repulse the elven strangler's attack.
The man in the grey tunic jumped back, reaching his left hand out to pull a garden hoe to him in a green aura, holding it with both hands and using all his strength he tried to counter the elve's quick strikes. Every blow the man tried to make himself was instantly blocked, though with each block he seemed to knock him off balance as they took the fight outside.
Taitsau started hopping around now like a deranged spider monkey, trying to confuse the man in the grey tunic. Venser wasn't having it. Why was he even bothering playing with this man? The man threw the garden hoe at the elf and extended his left hand, his mark flashing greenish white as forked green lightning burst from his fingertips, causing the elf to fly back into the garden and writhe in pain.
The elf had a surprisingly strong resistance to the supernatural lightning, rolling around in the dirt and hopping to his feet, drawing a dagger from his boot, recovered from the waves of raw alien magic he had just endured. Or at least, he tried his best, he was starting to falter, panting heavily.
''How about this? We make this fair. No lightning, no weapons. Just good ol' fisticuffs, man to man!'' Venser proclaimed, holding both hands up, palms facing towards Taitsau.
''I don't think so!'' The elf made a dash towards the man in the grey tunic, only for Venser to disappear in a puff of thick red smoke, the scent of wine and freshly cut roses filling the air. In a second he appeared right behind Taitsau, grabbing him around the waist, lifting him up with all his strength, and rolling backwards to slam the elf's head onto the ground, the angle seriously damaging his skull and neck.
Taitsau gave a violent twitch, trying to get up, recover, do something. Gripping his blades tight, he pushed off the ground, only for Venser to deliver a swift kick right into his face. ''Gahhhh…. Argghhhh!'' Choking up blood, the elf swiped at the man with his short katana, only for the man top stomp on his hand and kick his weapons away. Clearly dying, Taitsau lay facedown in the dirt and closed his eyes.
''At least I... I...'' He went silent as Venser came up from behind, choking him until he expired with the end of his asymmetrical grey cape.
''To think Y'vonne didn't order the guards to skewer you when they... When she heard about that man you strangled in the castle. And he wasn't the first... Bah.'' Venser dropped his body into the dirt of the garden and picked up the short katana, letting out a sharp sigh and looking to the wound on his shoulder. It didn't matter right now. He cut the farmer's wife free and wrapped her in a blanket, leading her outside to her horse and telling her to get to the capital as fast as she could.
His emerald slitted eyes watched as the horse rode off as fast as it possibly could, carrying the distressed woman while Venser sat with the corpse and awaited the guards to tell them more of the story and so he would claim the bounty.
Once he gave his report to the local guards and made sure the farmer's wife was compensated for her loss, he would go his dear friend Y'vonne and inform her she wouldn't be seeing that creep Taitsau again.
