Hello again, LeoFinance community!
A few days ago, I shared the funny—yet painful—story of how, during the early hours of July 29, I had to sell part of my HIVE. I needed to secure the money for what has become an essential work tool: a new phone.
As if the market wanted to play a joke on me, right after my HIVE reached QvaPay, we got a small rebound on July 30. Some people even joked that they had finally discovered who was responsible for those green candles.
But the market never stops surprising us.
Today, August 6, 2026, I opened TradingView again, and reality looks quite different.
Looking at the HIVE chart on TradingView, I can see that the market is still trading very close to its recent lows, around $0.041–$0.042 USD.
I'm not a professional analyst, nor am I trying to give financial advice. I'm simply sharing what I observe as someone who follows the market almost every day.
These are my current impressions:
The overall trend remains weak.
There is still no clear signal confirming the beginning of a bullish trend.
Recovery attempts continue to be small and short-lived.
Every rebound quickly attracts sellers.
The market seems to be waiting for a strong catalyst before choosing its next direction.
Of course, all of this could change within a matter of hours. That's simply the nature of the cryptocurrency market.
Although we often focus only on the candles we see on TradingView, the market is also influenced by what happens outside our screens.
Geopolitical tensions, global economic uncertainty, and central bank policies continue to affect investors' appetite for risk, especially when it comes to smaller-cap altcoins like HIVE.
Whenever uncertainty increases, many investors prefer to wait before taking on additional risk, and that caution eventually shows up on our charts as well.
Interestingly, my answer today is different from the one I would have given on July 30.
Back then, I thought I had sold right before a major rally.
However, after watching how the price has behaved over the past week, I feel I made the right decision for my personal situation.
My goal was never to execute the perfect trade.
My goal was to protect the money I had set aside to buy a tool that will allow me to continue creating content, participating on Hive, and developing this series.
I still don't have my new phone, but thanks to that decision, I feel I'm getting a little closer to buying it every day.
Until then, I'll keep doing what many of us Hivers do best: publishing, learning, slowly accumulating... and patiently waiting for the next bull market.
Do you think HIVE has already found its bottom, or is there still room for another drop?
I'd love to read your thoughts in the comments.
