Yeah this is a topic that we can discuss for hours. There are many things that can explain why this happens. One of those is "sponsors" they put lot of money on sports that bring the fans so they can sell products and so on. They don't go for sports that people are not that interested, sad but it is what it is. I would add to your list "Chess" another underestimated sport 😁
