Short term, it’s unlikely that the volatility is going to decrease. The market is expanding rapidly to new players, who are putting new money into the ecosystem. This new money is what is causing the rapid rise in price and the volatility.
However, as the market penetration for cryptocurrency increases, the amount of new, unpredictable money flooding the market will decrease. Instead you’ll get more normal buy/selling patterns, which will bring stability.
Believe it or not, there will be a day when the market for cryptocurrency will drop by 10% and people will believe that is a crash. That won’t happen tomorrow, or even next year, but the day when people consider cryptocurrency as boring as the stock market will come.
