The Air India Express flight that crash landed at the Kozhikode airport in Kerala has killed 18 people, including the two pilots. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said had the plane caught fire after skidding off the runway at the tabletop airport due to heavy rainfall. The Air India Express flight was carrying 190 people, including 6 crew members. With Kerala receiving heavy rainfall over the past few days and a red alert being issued for Friday, the rainfall became hazardous for the flight to land in Kozhikode. The aircraft overshot the runway at Kozhikode airport in rainy conditions and went down 35 feet into a slope before breaking up into two pieces. Over 100 passengers have been injured
