The EU has said from the very start that Britain can't seperate the four freedoms - freedom of movement for goods, services, capital and people. That isn't going to change in order to give Britain a deal.

However there are other types of deal available, the problem is that none of them are actually stronger than the existing arrangement inside the EU where Britain holds a veto and shapes the rules/laws. Leaving would mean it would be a rule taker not a rule maker which seems insane to me.

The general election hasn't been called as yet, the opposition parties won't vote for it until the prospect of no deal is shut down and an extension is secured - this depends on the EU agreeing to an extension, and Borris isn't winning hearts and minds on the continent!
