New Delhi, November 15: Weeks after UC
Browser for Android topped 500 million
downloads,
the
aPP
mysteriously
disappeared from the Google Play Store.
However, UC Web's other offering- the UC
Browser Mini is still available for
download. UC Browser had surpassed
Google Chrome to become the leading
mobile browser in India with over 100
million user base. As of now, there has
been confirmation about why the browser
was taken down suddenly.

UC Browser, developed by UCWeb is owned by China's Alibaba Group and has an enormous base in India.

As per reports, China-based UC Browser has been pulled down by Google Play Storedue to misleading campaigns. UCWeb has also claimed that Indian users make up 100 million of its total monthly active users from around the world. If one types UC Browser in the Google Play Store, only the UC Browser mini is listed.
