I have been very worried that the site will eventually fade away or collapse altogether. We need to work on bringing in more people to the network and increasing user adoption and retention. Overall the biggest problem is the adherence to the BTC/STEEM trading pair which is obviously a one way jetstream of income.

As people earn STEEM they sell it for BTC and that money disappears from the site forever. If we had a way to leverage this BTC within the Steem network itself we could retain value for the STEEM token.
