Hydrangeas are grown from bulbs and not only are these a vibrant color, they smell wonderful!
This flower blooms in the spring and early summer.
When I purchased these hydrangeas they were about to burst into bloom, so I just got to enjoy watching them open and appreciate the wonderful smell!
I thought these delicate flowers that appeared on my purple basil were very pretty!
On regular basil the flowers are just white!
Of course you can let the flowers mature and eventually you will have a seed head to gather seeds from in order to grow new plants.
I always buy pentas to have in my yard for a nectar source for the butterflies I'm hoping to sustain and attract to my yard.
Pentas are grown from seed and must be replanted every year.
This is a flower I just purchase as a grown plant and I don't bother trying to grow them from seed myself.
Hopefully you have seen a new flower this week or maybe learned something new from my posts.
Here are all my other posts for this past week.
