Concerning Splinterlands, there has been a lot of turmoil the last couple of months, and honestly I can't seem to figure out which way we are heading now....are we heading towards a new boom,with lots of new players coming in, or are we situated somewhere within a death spiral....
Land 1.5 is getting closer...this was previously predicting a huge demand for cards, DEC and SPS, but I'm not so sure about that anymore...as I remember having read somewhere, land is predicted to be utilized around 20-30 percent...don't know if that is true?? But that will surely not create a huge demand for cards and tokens, at least not as huge as expected... Card prices, SPS and DEC price today seems to be backing up this assumption....
Then there will be burning of packs and cards, but how much will that move,the market seems overflooded with cards at this point, so we need a very big fire....This bring me to the next issue...
Then there will be Rebellion....new packs...new cards...eventually adding even more cards to the market....Making the older cards more and more useless, jo like we saw with the Alphas, Betas and so on....When Chaos Legion was released, playing with older cards got more and more difficult, which meant that people (like me..) who had bought a lot of Alphas and Betas to level up, had to buy Chaos Legion to be able to compete....And now it's happening again....
Like me, I have a feeling that a lot of the old players, the ones that was here from the beginning are starting to become a bit exhausted, and will probably buy fewer new packs. So for the Rebellion to become a success, we have become dependant of the ability to attract new players...a lot of new players....Is this going to happen???...I'm not so sure...
I'm loving the game, and I have been playing for five years now, and I'm trying to stay positive...But for the first time since I have started, I have actually thought about selling everything and leaving the game a few times...Honestly, I don't want to leave the game, but I'm getting tired of the frustrations, tired of not being able to figure out which way we are heading....
I would really like some comments on this post...maybe even some cheering up....What are you thinking, and could you please show me the direction.....
