Hey DtubeNation!
I've just re-uploaded to d.tube here my first open mic entry that I did last night - which I had uploaded to youtube at the time to post to steemit because I had literally a few minutes before the deadline!! (unfortunately dtube still is quite a bit slow in the uploading arena) And I made it!
So apologies about the recording quality as it was late and its dark and this was the best "mood lighting" I could use to make it look ok haha.. and I literally just finished putting my toddler to sleep, scrambled around to get all my gear ready and did it within 5 minutes, then quickly ran to my computer and waited for it to load my video so I could upload it! Longest three minutes ever! No time for edits or anything else till this morning - where I put in some titles and comments etc so I can upload here lol.
Just wanted to let you know I practiced guitar for three days straight for this :DD
It's the first time I've picked up my guitar in 3 years so I was super rusty. Hope to do more now that my fingers have grown tougher in the last few days of getting some practice in!
From a time of love unrequited and teen angst..
Lyrics:
You took your coat off and stood in the rain
You're always crazy like that
And I watched from my window
Always felt I was outside looking in on you
You're always the mysterious one with
Dark eyes and careless hair
You were fashionably sensitive
But too cool to care
You stood in my doorway, with nothing to say
Besides some comment on the weather
Well in case you failed to notice
In case you failed to see
This is my heart bleeding before you
This is me down on my knees, and
These foolish games are tearing me apart
And your thoughtless words are breaking my heart
You're breaking my heart
I did a practice round the other day on Dsound in case any of you wanted to hear the full song :)
