Last night we had our first blackout where we had to use battery powered lights and candles to eat our dinner (thank God dinner had just cooked when the blackout occurred). It lasted for a few hours till bedtime. It was actually a great experience as we got to relax and enjoy the candles and darkness without distractions. This photo was taken when I turned on the candles after dinner and they spent at least half an hour staring at them and talking about them.
