What about the car that doesn't start, as well as the dropping of car keys when the monster / killer / zombie is nearing the car. Sigh... Going through this list, I really that half of these boxes can be checked off with the A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot that I watched yesterday night. Logically, the waking up ( and also not 'really' waking up ) was over-used, even for a nightmare story.
