It is simply because I deem the corporate workplace as not the right place to find "my people

I can totally relate to this and that is one of many reasons why I went solo in 2016. I don't have a single friend left from a past job and I have had plenty of jobs ( the last one lasted almost 3 years ) and do not think I'm an ogre haha!
