I took this photo two days ago.
What does it make you think of?
The first thing I think about, when I look at it, is wild fires.
Knowing how many of those there seem to be, these days, around the globe, it is a pretty logical association.
The woman aiming her hose at the firey sky, aka the lovely @clareartista , makes it hard to not think this thought.
And if you're aware of the fact that we are located in Italy and that the Summer still hasn't ended here, it makes even more sense.
Here is a second photo though, taken around the same time that evening...
A picture of a sunset, on a cloudy, warm night...
And here's snap numero 3, where Clare's hose is pointing almost horizontally...
She is watering the brambles and the cherry trees, just outside our 'orto'.
It's fair to say that, in the last couple of days, our future veg (and much more!) garden has really started to shape up.
It stil needs a lot of work - and a lot of water - though.
This fenced space was cultivated ( in quite a harsh way ) by the previous owner of this land, until last November. Afterwards, it was ignored for over half a year.
That is, until we took over the reigns.
It's now recovering and changing shape, slowly but steadily.
Watering, love and attention make a difference...
