When I opened up Brave today I could not see STEEM Keychain among my extensions. It was all there and all working yesterday and I do not remember doing anything that could have messed up anything. I dug into my settings and was graced by this annoyance:

I checked Google's Developer Program Policies and did not find anything that could be considered a real violation. It is difficult to think that some idiot flagged STEEM Keychain as a cryptocurrency miner (which are banned).

HIVE Keychain and Firefox Extension is Perfectly Fine

It does not seem like there are many STEEM users with Firefox browser. After all, it does not make any sense to use anything other than Brave unless you are thinking of browser compartmentalization as a part of your privacy strategy.

I was reading this article from Verge and it gave me an idea. What if STEEM Keychain got flagged as a spam extention that do the same thing as HIVE Keychain but with a different name and color choice?

@yabapmatt has kindly open sourced the code under MIT License. I originally downloaded HIVE Keychain through GitHub when it finally launched. It is a fairly easy process even a child can go trough. There should be enough guides both on and off blockchain on how to do this. For now, I will simply turn on the extension and go on with my life.

I assume the updates may have to be done manually. Correct me if I'm wrong. This could be a temporary thing for all I could care. At most it will be a small hassle added to my life. Considering what blockchain can do for us, some issue with Google (Alphabet Inc.) not liking a cryptocurrency extension is a minor inconvenience for me.
