You can't kill the bad guys. If you are "fighting the bad guys", then there will always be bad guys.

Definitely agree with this part. Doing it is the difficult part. There are enough people talking crazy and the instead of ignoring them people are creating entire content pipelines of outrage and activism. This is a waste of effort on a massive scale IMHO.

PS: More Equal Animals by @dan had some interesting ideas about democracy. The system proposed pretty much made all the voters be candidates. It is somewhat of a long read to explain. Take a look if you have time.
