For the last week or so I've had a bit of a theme in mental issues and today I'm serving this fine image (along with taking part in #monochromemonday by @old-guy-photos. Surprisingly often I realize afterwards what the photo is about, why I took it and decided to make it ready. I remember taking this roughly a year ago: it was really cold but I noticed the nice sun/shadow play at the end of a bridge underpass. I decided to hang for a while and when I noticed the shadow building up as this random person had passed me I knew this was it.
Watching the picture today it gives me sort of a Jungian feeling (Carl Jung, Swiss psychiatrist). He had the theory of shadows which I believe is implemented in other disciplines of psychology and psychiatry alike: "The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge." -Carl Jung: Aion.
If this sparks feelings or emotions in you today, please feel free to comment on the post or just the picture in the comment section below! If you like my material, have a look at these!
Be well everybody,
