Game Over for Magic Dice 🤔

Ihr habt diese Nachricht sicher auch schon gesehen, @magicdice hat abrupt den Betrieb der Würfelspiel-DApp eingestellt und alle Accounts aufgelöst und ist mit den restlichen Coins geflüchtet (was man auch als Exit-Scam bezeichnen kann). Ja, da ist ärgerlich, da ich das Spiel auch gespielt habe und in MAGIC-Tokens "investiert" habe.

Insgesamt habe ich ca. 1000 STEEM verspielt und konnte mit den Dividenden den Verlust auf ca. 700 STEEM reduzieren.

Das ist jetzt auch nicht das Ende der Welt, es war mir aber eine Lektion und ich denke, man sollte generell sehr vorsichtig bei Glücksspielen sein. Am Ende gewinnt immer die Bank.

Es hat aber auch ein paar positive Aspekte gegeben.

Erstens war das Spiel an sich im Großen und Ganzen transparent und fair.

Zweitens war das Dividendenkonzept mit den MAGIC-Tokens ziemlich cool, die Spieler am Gewinn zu beteiligen und es wurde auch umgesetzt und lief jetzt rückblickend ca. 4 Monate. Die Regeln wurden allerdings zwei mal geändert, was bereits eine rote Flagge sein sollte.

Und Drittens hat das Spielen Spaß gemacht.

Zum Schluss möchte ich noch meine Bookkeeping-Info mit euch teilen. Bin auch gespannt, ob der Entwickler mit den restlichen Coins davonkommt. @themarkymark hat ihn nämlich bereits bei Binance gemeldet.

You've probably already seen this news, @magicdice abruptly stopped the operation of the dice game DApp and closed all accounts and fled with the remaining coins (which is also known as an exit scam). Yes, that's annoying, because I also played the game and "invested" in MAGIC tokens.

In total I gambled away about 1000 STEEM and with the dividends I could reduce the loss to about 700 STEEM.

This is not the end of the world, it was a lesson for me and I think you should be very careful with gambling in general. In the end, the bank always wins.

But there have also been a few positive aspects.

Firstly, the game itself was by and large transparent and fair.

Secondly, the dividend concept with the MAGIC tokens was pretty cool to let the players share in the profits and it was also implemented and ran for about 4 months in retrospect. The rules were changed twice, however, which should already be a red flag.

And thirdly, playing was fun.

Finally, I'd like to share my bookkeeping info with you. I'm also curious if the developer will get away with the remaining coins. @themarkymark has already reported him to Binance.
