Wieder Bday, einmal im Jahr und just heute ist in Österreich ein neuer Lockdown für Montag und eine Impfpflicht für Februar 2022 angekündigt worden.
Bin kein Fan von Lockdowns und habe keine Freunde damit, dass jetzt Geimpfte ("Vollimmunisierte") und Genesene ("Immunisierte"), gesunde Menschen wieder eingesperrt werden.
Andererseits rational betrachtet, müssen die Krankenhäuser vor einem Kollaps bewahrt werden.
Die Krankenhäuser sind auch ohne Corona komplett überlastet, das war im Winter immer schon so. Leider hat man es verabsäumt, die Spitals- und ICU-Kapazitäten während einer Pandemie massiv auszubauen, im Gegenteil das Personal ist ausgebrannt, kündigt und die Kapazität nimmt ab.
Ohne Impfpflicht kommen wir aus dem Schlamassel nicht mehr raus. Eine natürliche Durchseuchung würde mit andauernden Lockdowns Jahre oder Jahrzehnte dauern.
Und selbst mit Impfungen wird es sehr schwierig, da Impfungen nicht 100% wirken, aber es ist rational betrachtet, die beste Option, die wir im Moment haben.
Womit Impfgegner recht haben ist, dass wir mit Corona leben lernen müssen.
Leben ist und bleibt lebensgefährlich.
Wieder ein Jahr überlebt :)

Bday again, once a year and just today in Austria a new lockdown starting on Monday and manditory corona vaccinations for February 2022 has been announced.
Am not a fan of lockdowns and that vaccinated ("fully immunized") and recovered ("immunized"), healthy people are locked up again.
On the other hand, rationally thinking, hospitals need to be saved from collapse.
Hospitals are completely overloaded even without Corona, and this has always been the case in winter. Unfortunately, there has been a failure to massively expand health care and ICU capacity during a pandemic; on the contrary, staff burn out, quit, and capacity decreases.
Without mandatory vaccination, we won't get out of this mess I am afraid. A natural contagion would take years or decades with ongoing lockdowns.
And even with vaccination, it will be very difficult, as vaccination are not 100% effective, but it is rationally the best option we have right now.
What vaccination opponents are right about is that we have to learn to live with Corona.
Life is and always will be life threatening.
