I'm taking you along with me as I create a new card deck for myself. I will create it with an American Indian theme as I did once before. What is Lenormand? - check out my previous article.
Card 19 Pueblo
This is another card that had to evolve substantially in order to get the original meaning of the Tower card. Now, Tower in Lenormand isn't anything like Tower in Tarot. Whereas in Tarot, the Tower is chaos and destruction, in Lenormand it's more about strength and protection.
When we think of the Tower (in Lenormand), we tend to think of:
- strength, protection, dominion, foundation
- loneliness, last stand, isolation
- government, superiors, authority, leadership
- higher perspective, long life, steadfast
So, for the Pueblo, I am thinking:
pretty much everything I already mentioned. The Pueblos were strong enough to stand the test of time. Their leadership probably had the best places in the pueblo. Together, they enjoyed the higher perspective and everything these structures have come to mean.

For my new card, For my new card, I hit Google Images search, looking for something with CC0 (Creative Commons 0) licensing meaning that I don't always have to remember to credit someone - essential if I were to start doing paid readings with these cards.
I also had to find out which traditional playing card is associated with this card. So, here is my result:

Although it's relatively easy to find pictures of the pueblos, it's a bit harder to find one that's 1) good and 2) portrait in orientation. This one, framing with the leaves was just perfect. It may not be the most picturesque part of the pueblo, but it works well for my purposes. A quick "color enhance" on Photoscape and it really was good-to-go this time.
I really like the result.
