This catchy, popular song hit the airwaves in 1982 and quickly hit number one in the US, Canada and Australia. Strangely, this was the only really huge hit for Toni Basil who wore her own high school cheerleading outfit for the video.
In many ways, it has a typically 80s feel in a carefree, yet boy-crazy fashion. Can you imagine being a boy named Mickey at this time??? He'd probably either run for cover or eat it up!

This is a very fun cover. They've done great with the vocals and made a fun video to go with it including many aspects of the 80s. From the pastel colors (including make-up) that featured heavily in the time to the roller skates, they did a decent job. My only criticism, ladies, is the hair... where was the big hair?!

For an excellent Japanese take, check out these guys! Well done on the clothing, styling, and having a lot of fun while making an excellent video with spot-on vocals and dance. Again, the hair is definitely not 80s, but it's still great.

The audio could be balanced better, but the lyrics have been well-written and the video of various Doctor Who clips was well made. Definitely worth a listen for all the Whovians amongst us.

Great lyrics about the historical event of the demise of the Twinkie. Vocals could be stronger, but she did a great job in keeping the cheer spirit from the original. It definitely makes a perfect WTF selection for me today.

Well, what can you say? The master of parody covered this song in his own excellent form, hitting every aspect perfectly - but applied to "I Love Lucy!" Wonderful lyrics, great vocals and inspired video - there is no better way to end this foray.
