Taylor Swift has a great voice, catchy tunes and lyrics that work... but...
Blank Space is a very strange song, in my opinion. The relationship portrayed is a very unhealthy one - romanticized almost in a "girl power" theme - not a great place to approach a relationship, that's for sure.
The video is interesting in the way it's put together including animals such as horses and deer in various parts. This will be fun for someone trying to replicate the video...

Honestly, I think vocally, she's (at least) on par with Taylor Swift. Her guitar playing is really nice too.
I love that she includes a hint of another of Taylor's songs (Never, Ever Getting Back Together) at the beginning. She also includes some interesting improvisations for the animals.
His voice lets him down a little, but I really liked the gender switch here. Why is it easier to watch a woman be "insane," jealous and violent, but harder to watch the man? They're both people who need to be left behind.
This is another video that was very well imitated and is worth a watch.
Now, some parodies
The lyrics are loads of fun. The video is great with plenty of references to the original video - including the apple (now a Pokeball)... If you're a gamer in any way, shape or form, you should enjoy this parody.
Okay, maybe not the most amazing voice, but it's very appropriate for being George RR Martin. Again, there are a number of excellent references to the original video as well as touches of the theme song mashed in here and there. In case you ever forget who is the only one truly in control of Westeros, this video aptly reminds you.

This parody seems all too appropriate to the original song. Although short, the video is very well done and true to the original. But did it really take a parody to get to the base of Blank Space?
