There is no telling of how much harm the adversary can cause in the home.This started from the beginning in the garden of Eden,the devil has done nothing but to try to destroy the marriage institution. He knows that Godly families will make a Godly society,this is why the devil so much interested in destroying families.
You can recall that the devil was shamefully sent out from heaven which made him doomed for life because of this he is unable to stand the thought of my believer being happy and making it to Heaven at the end.He has been brought low in the book of Isaiah 14:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The devil wants so many people to go down with him,as a result of this he tries to frustrate not only individuals but families and the church at large and its so unfortunate that some homes have been captive by the devil. The bible says in 1 Peter 5:8
'Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour'
Below are the very common tactics which the enemy adopts in destroying families.
Influence of malicious relatives,in-laws and bad friends who stir up strife and confusion in the family.they cause a lot of havoc in the home,making husband and wife to quarrel,divert the attention of the man from his wife and family to themselves.
Accursed wedding gifts which are to stir up misunderstanding in the home,cause delay in child-bearing,cause hardship and backwardness.May God help us in Jesus name,even from the gift we collect from people,that's why nowadays people ask for cash instead of gifts in the wedding.

House helps/nanny,some which are possessed by evil spirit are often planted in the home for the purpose of causing disharmony,diseases and draining the family's purse.
Carelessness in the couple caused by the devil to make them not study their bible and even have time to pray,he occupied their minds with the things of the world therefore being able to come into their home because their guards are down.
Insensitivity to the Holy Spirit prompting.
Believers have to the aware that there many devices of the enemy so as not to be caught unaware,the bible says in
2 Corinthians 2:11
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
No one is exempted from the wiles of the adversary. The tendency to carelessly dismiss the possibility of the devil's infiltration into the home is one of the most effective tactics and he has prevailed on many naive couples through it. The enemy doesn't always use the same tricks into every family,he observes the peculiarities of each home to determine what he thinks will work best against them to strike,for example look at Job in the book of Job 1:9-11
9Then Satan answered the LORD, "Does Job fear God for nothing? 10"Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11"But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.
Although the devil's plan failed but the incident still confirms that the enemy actually does spy on families,looking for possible cracks and loopholes through which he can attack homes.We should always put on the whole Armour of God ,so that we can be ready at all times.Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
