God's Intention for man union
It a pleasure to be a bystander to this marriage union and as well the bridegroom best man in this wonderful and exciting occasion.
It is necessary I share this message with you my brother and sister. The first marriage institution happened in the Garden of Eden but unfortunately it didn’t end in the garden. THE GARDEN OF EDEN represents the presence of God... .
Many intending couples do not realize the need to do everything in their life and in the preparations for their union exactly as the Lord has commanded in His Word. They allow their human understanding to decide how far to obey God and where to modify His commands.
It is the will of God that a man should discover the need of a “helper” see dictionary definition for the word helper (Assistant or Supporter). God first saw this need for man in the beginning... And the LORD God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him. Gen 2:18. And then God when further to say, whosoever finds a wife has found a GOOD THING and will obtain favour of the Lord. Pro 18:22.
One question we need to ask ourselves is, what is the reason why God said, it is not good that a man to be alone. Was it because the man was lonely and will need someone to interact with or because God saw that the responsibility he has committed to the man was much. Therefore the man will need someone to assist him and also sharing in his burdens.
Dear brother one question, I need to ask you his. Are you tired of living with your biological family? Is that why you thought of getting married to your wife so as to start a fresh relationship and interaction? Or is it because you needed a helper, someone who will be of assistant to you, shared your burdens and also in your responsibilities.
I guess it is not because you are tired of living with your biological family that’s why you are getting married. If not, it is certain that you will soon get tired of the one you are about to start. The gradient of life is not static or in a straight line graph.
It is the heart desire of God that a man should prepare before getting married. God did this preparation for the man in the beginning. Demonstrating how a man should prepare before getting married, God gave the man a house to live in and also a Job to do in the garden. Gen 2.
God's thoughts and ways are far higher than ours (Isa.55:8,9). Those who do not realize this will always add their human ideas to God's commandments. Only those who are eager for the glory of God to be manifested will be able to find God's perfect pattern and will for their lives.
God created the garden then kept man in it to dress it and right in the midst of the garden there were two trees which have two distinctive features. The first tree is a TREE OF LIFE while the second tree is the TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL. The first tree represents total dependency of Gods will and commandment while the second tree represents self-will and independent of God will. Unknown to man the trees were symbols and choice of life on earth. It is either a man will live to please himself or to live according to the commandments of God.
