Absolutely true, I think that what you say is largely the problem, that the result of our actions is often not really visible. This is because many times we are in positions in which the decisions we make don't affect us directly and immediately, that makes it seem that we are not responsible for what we are doing or supporting. It is like when people support wars or military interventions, it is very easy to hear the number of casualties caused by these actions, thousands or millions of deaths, and see it simply as a number, because these things happen far from the sight of people and they don't realize the magnitude of what is happening. It takes something more visible, something more direct, so that people are aware of what is really happening.

The phrase "the welfare of the many is above the welfare of the individual" is one of those phrases that may sound good at first, but after you analyze it a bit you start to see its flaws. Because, obviously we are in societies to seek collective well-being, we don't group together as people for the benefit of a few and the misery of others, it is evident that the common good is sought, but at the same time, the well-being of the group is always the result of the well-being of the individuals that make up that group, the group cannot be well if the individuals that make up the group are not well, so if all the individuals placed the well-being of the group above their own, they would be after all looking for something that does not really benefit any one.

And about vaccinations, even if they were completely safe, there would still be the problem of the use of force, you just can't force vaccines on people who don't want to, it wouldn't be right. I am surprised how much people criticize dictatorships, but they don't hesitate for a second to apply force on other people. I suppose it does not apply the logic of doing to others what we would like them do to us.

I really don't know why my other post was flagged, because people downvote and don't leave any comments, so I really can't know, but I guess it bothers someone.
