With the information gained from plants, we know that these creatures can distinguish sounds and react, match, feel and react to touch. However, according to a new study, the communication system in plant cells is different from the nervous system in animals.

There has been a serious debate since the early 2000s when it comes to nervous system and response. The subject of this discussion is based on the boundary between consciousness and reaction.

Plant biologist Lincoln Taiz, who wrote an article in Trends in Plant Science, argues that giving plants human characteristics is wrong. According to him, the first danger of this situation comes from damaging the objective observation of science.

It is not possible to compare the intercellular communication in plants to the more advanced systems in humans or in animals. Plant neuroscientists have compared the communication in plants to bees working together as a separate structure.
