Rape is a sexual abuse. It means forcing one into sexual act out side his or her will, it is done against one's consent. My advice for a rape patient is, firstly, run to a clinic or hospital, to seek medical attention/ recieve treatment incase there are injuries sustained or have contacted any infection . This will prevent further regrets. Secondly, having gone through medical assistance, and it is certified that the patient is Okay, then the patient should go to a guidance and councellor who will be able to give the right counselling he or she needs at that time, this can be morally, emotionally or spiritually based, which will go a long way to heal the emotional injury that has been sustained via the incident. Thirdly, if it is possible to investigate to bring the culprit to book for prosecution, that should be done and will be good, but in the absence of that, the victim should trust God for such incident not to repeat it self by living a more careful and prayerful life , so as not to fall victim again and avoid any self inflcted sorrow, depression and regrets which will actually make no difference.
