The world is plagued with lots of problems affecting lives, properties and the world itself. And these has taken a devastating affect on everything around the world. And if I've the power to remove one problem from the world permanently to make the world a better place, which would I change from all the problems we've, is it corruption, insecurity, diseases or what exactly? If it were you what would you do?
I've taken time to critically think about which problems I could stop to make the world a better place from the ones I outlined above, if I picked either of two of them it'll be because of my own selfish reasons, because it somewhat favours me directly, and so for that reason I came to the conclusion that if at all I have to take a one problem permanently, then it'll be selfishness. Yes you read that correctly, I know you might feel like selfishness isn't necessarily a problem compared to some ambiguous problems out there, well that might be true, but then I must also let you understand that selfishness has created many of the problems we've around the world today and that's why I'm picking it as the problem I'll stop.
So what make selfishness so dangerous that I had to let it disappear from the world? Well you need to understand that majority of world greatest challenges today are as a result of selfishness, challenges uvh as poverty, corruption, environmental destruction, discrimination, injustice, war and many others yonmae but few. Selfishness is the engine behind what makes people place their own interest above that of others. You might think it's normal human instinct, but it goes deeper because the more selfish you become, is the more unwilling to care for anyone else beyond yourself, family, nation, race and the likes.
Now if I were able to take away selfishness forever in our world, then you can start to picture us in a better society, where our leaders genuinely cares about their responsibilities aimed at serving the people, unlike how they only chase their personal ambition, this is a world where People in business won't value fairness over greed, and most of all it'll make the world become a place where individuals cares about how their actions affect other people. I know this doesn't mean the world would become perfect, but what it means is that at least we'll have reductions in the amount of problems the world holds.
We must also understand that it's not only about the government officials, business and the likes. It's goes beyond that if the world just be better and that's where the place of individuals comes to light, we as individuals have a role to play. Human must show kindness to people around them and this can be made possible when selfishness has been eradicated, now we can show kindness in our day to day life and that will make our world better and safe.
