The truth is that we're able to have these current amounts of electricity because we've heavily invested in the current model of power generation, and if we divert the same energy into generating electricity through green energy, we'll arrive at this point and even go beyond with time; after all, we didn't generate this amount of electricity supply in a day.
We must also come to the understanding that when we talk about green energy, it's not only talking about solar panels, because I think most people say this is impossible and felt we'll need a decline to fully based on green energy because they thought solar is the only green energy means to generate electricity that's out there, but on the contrary we've got alot more, such as wind, hydropower, wave power among many others to name but few.
But then I understand people's concerns on potential decline in amounts of electricity supply, and I don't think it's not like green energy can supply 100% of the electricity we have today; the problem is that it's unstable. For instance, solar can only generate electricity during the day, at nothing at night; wind, on the other hand, can also generate electricity, but it might be strong for days and become weak on other days. With this understanding, many might think that's exactly why we shouldn't fully go 100% in on green energy because it can't give us our electricity demand. Well, I'm happy to tell you that you're wrong. Despite the setbacks I highlighted above, green energy can still give us what we need. All we need to do is get enough storage devices, backup generations, and means of transmission. When that's done, we've been able to preserve electricity generated when each mould of generation is at its best for present and later usage.
Our planet is all we've got, and we must take caution about how we treat it, because however we treat it, it'll later affect us. We've seen this play out with plastic and now electricity generation with carbon emissions into our atmosphere. We've got wisdom and do the right thing in safeguarding our planet before the situation goes out of hand.
