Tried to move away from google completely on my phone have just changed to Ubuntu Touch (deleting android) there are not the apps on it but of enough people join then this will build. Ubuntu is from Linux and is very well designed just needs the exposure. It's all open source and people can design their own apps. I think there a many on here you could do that. This is a calling to you!
