Salvadoran Chicken Sandwiches (Panes con Pollo)

Ingredients
🍞 4 French rolls, such as La Brea Bakery French Demi Baguette
🍗 2 cups Cooked shredded chicken, use Tyson® Grilled and Ready
🍅 1 cup Tomato sauce, Hunt's®
🧅 1 medium Onion, thinly sliced
🌶️ 1 Green bell pepper, sliced
🥭 1 cup Relish curtido, pickled cabbage slaw
🌿 Fresh cilantro, for garnish
🧄 2 cloves Garlic, minced
🧂 1 teaspoon Salt
🫑 1 teaspoon Black pepper
🌶️ 1 teaspoon Paprika
🫒 2 tablespoons Olive oil, Bertolli®
Instructions
1- Prep the Ingredients:
- Slice the French rolls in half. Thinly slice the onion and green bell pepper. Mince the garlic cloves.
2- Prepare the Chicken Filling:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the Bertolli® olive oil and let it warm up.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until it becomes fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Stir in the sliced onion and green bell pepper. Cook until they are softened, around 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked shredded Tyson® chicken to the skillet and stir to combine with the onions and peppers.
- Pour in the Hunt's® tomato sauce and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
3- Assemble the Sandwiches:
- Take the sliced French rolls and layer the chicken filling generously on the bottom halves.
- Top the chicken with relish curtido and a few sprigs of fresh cilantro.
- Place the other half of the roll on top to complete the sandwich.
4- Serve:
- Serve the Panes con Pollo warm immediately, allowing guests to enjoy the full depth of flavor in each bite.
