Less than a week ago, I noticed that the strawberries were starting to come in. @geekpowered suggested that I pick them right away if they’re good or else the birds could get to them! What other wild critters should I worry about? Do rabbits like strawberries? There’s a chubby bunny that loves our yard. Ever since then, I’ve been keeping a watchful eye on my beloved berries. On my way home from a lunch date with @kommienezuspadt, I spotted bright red amongst the greens and I squealed with excitement. Yes, I’m that passionate about the garden.
I was right! It’s a ripe little strawberry! Imperfect yet lovely. I offered it to @kommienezuspadt but he said that I should have it instead. What a sweetie.
Our garden is definitely producing more berries this year versus last. We’ve talked about making our own strawberry jam. I’d still really like to have enough to share with my grandparents. They’ve got such a large garden themselves but I know for a fact that they don’t have strawberries or carrots.
