From noon to eight thirty in the evening, we busted our asses off to complete the preparations for @kommienezuspadt’s Dark Pinup gallery opening.
This was probably the best time for @kommienezuspadt to mentor a young photographer. He recently acquired an intern from a nearby art school, she’s competent and enthusiastic about the work. On her first day she helped @kommienezuspadt carry the frames in to be fitted for new glass and then cut the printed images to size. Her presence is appreciated during this crazy period.
That afternoon before the event, our intern and I thoroughly cleaned the glass of finger prints, set the images and then nailed the backs to secure them. @kommienezuspadt was left with the odd jobs and hanging up the frames. We were able to finish frame placement and decorating the table for the hors d’oeuvres with thirty minutes to spare. Around that time, @tarotbyfergus arrived with his bandmates to open the show.

The live music was a delight, there was the right amount of people in attendance and we even sold a couple of books! I’m so proud of @kommienezuspadt.
