This is the face I make after taking Benadryl to relieve my allergies.
Before I start talking about the art, I thought I should share a quick story that kind of relates to this image.
Yesterday, I was dumb enough to leave the house without taking any meds, my friend offered me some and I had to flip a coin. Take them and potentially get sleepy or deal with the painful itch in my eyes. I took ‘em and I was dumb enough to play Magic afterwards. I couldn’t catch a break and lost both games. I also lost my focus when some random guy jumped in to say that he wanted to observe our game. I really wouldn’t have minded but apparently the look on my face threw him off and the next thing I hear is, “Sorry to interrupt.” ....I have a natural bitch face, my bad.
Anyway....Let’s talk about the art.
I drew this, holding onto the idea of wanting to sketch something with a heavy atmosphere. Expression in the face and positioning of the body are key. Even the colors help to convey the mood. I kept the drawing loose and wasn’t aiming for perfection, which is probably why I was satisfied with the end result.
