A handful of berries

@kommienezuspadt has his art showing(for his photography) tomorrow at the coffee shop. I’m not sure if he’s mentioned anything about it on his blog. We both did some running around for that today. He picked up prints, glass and cardboard. I got the wrapping paper, ribbon and markers. After I got that end of the list checked off, I had to do some quick gift shopping on @guthrie’s behalf. We were invited to a bday party at a cool indoor park. While the kids played, laughed and bickered- I got to hang out with his classmates parents which was a treat. There was also a protest that happened in the city. @guthrie and I got there late but miraculously found @kommienezuspadt in the crowd. We ending the evening walking hand in hand as a family.

I took a spin around the garden before I even thought of leaving the house. I took notice to the many changes that seemed to happen overnight. It’s crazy how the lettuce bounced back, the leafy greens are growing like crazy! I’m pretty sure they’re ready to harvest. I just need @kommienezuspadt to finish his current box of spring mix salad before we move on to these beauties.

The carrots are springing up and we have yet to fence the perimeter. I bet we’re days away from a rabbit attack! It’s storming all weeks so there are limited chances to do yard work.

I’m also really happy that I took a second look at the strawberries. I picked three previously and was surprised to find a handful today. There was only one that I found half eaten so I’d call this a success. ^^

Well, it’s late here in Minneapolis so I should head straight to bed. There’s also a thunderstorm rumbling in that’ll surely put me to sleep.
