Ok, so we need to state the fact - fully vaccinated does not mean perfectly protected. However, they all protect effectively against severe COVID onset requiring hospitalization. None of the sailors required hospitalization and the spread was limited to just over 100 of the 3,700 onboard. So, the vaccines work. Breakthrough cases will continue to happen but will become fewer and fewer as more people get vaccinated. The end is in sight but only if people get vaccinated.
