Ok .. you've convinced me. I am going to have to turn the clock back even further and expose the wonderful world of MUD's, MOO's, Talkers and EWTOO.

A lot of your description rings true for an earlier more innocent, more naive, era and maybe it is worth documenting how we don't need to be corralled into a huge machine of a social network to actually find communities and friendships that last literally a lifetime.

Somewhere along the line we lost the idea that as much as there are personalities out there there are also real people too.
