In some more then a week from now the Warnsveld open air starts on friday 20th of september. This festival is kept in Zutphen, my old home town, and is organised by Ruud Hendriks. A well known rocker in our neighbourhood :) whom organizes a lot of concerts and festivals in Zutphen.
This year the festival is lead by Tribute bands, a lot of them. This formula is touring around the netherlands and so Ruud thought it would be great to have them in Zutphen.
I think the program is awesome and it can't be that someone doesn't find a band he or she likes. There is something in the line up for everybody is my opinion.
Some of the bands I already know from previous gigs, like Snaggletooth. It's a Motörhead tribute and they are really awesome. Even the singer had a strong resemblance with Lemmy.

there are two bands which aren't real tribute bands and those are
- Diggeth
Diggeth is a local rock band with a lot of power. I have seen them already several times and they just are a blast...

My youngest son is also totally crazy of Diggeth. When we were on a gig once he got some guitarpicks and a album of the band... Isn't that amazing...
- Masters of Spam
Masters of Spam I know already for a long time. I have played together in a band with one of the guitarist (the one on the right) Jeroen Blok. He is a great guitarist with eye for detail and glamour ;). Masters of spam is band which will surprise you which covers they play and how the play them... It's just awesome, so do please check them out on YouTube.
Well, I know what I am doing next weekend, getting some fine rock music in my ears and seeing loads of bands in two days !!! Of course together with my son !!
Have a great day,
Peter
