Do you know that, you start on a new assignment and think everything is done, at least it is clear what needs to be done. That is not entirely the case on my new assignment. The organization is lagging behind in the field of ICT and contract management. Contracts have been concluded that are not being complied with by the supplier. There has never been any control over this, which is why it is now difficult to get companies back in line. Our program manager, responsible for my project, among other things, wants to achieve results quickly, and I understand that, but you have to put it in perspective of the maturity of the organization. You can want a lot, but it must also fit.
In addition to my current assignment, I work 2.5 days for my new assignment. In it I do as much as possible and even in the evening, but you can only do as much if there is time, right? I notice that I am playing around with it a bit and I don't know exactly how and what. I mean, I know exactly how to execute my projects and achieve what I promise, but difficult when a manager is always one step ahead of the organization and also thinks that everyone does too :) ....
For example, now I need to create an investment overview based on products we haven't even selected yet, how? As you can read, I am also still looking for a good mode to move well within this organization. What is nice, although nice, is that I am not the only one who bumps into this. We have an IT architect and a network specialist who are facing the same problems, so it's not just my problem :)
We will see what the future will bring, I love the organization itself, the people we ultimately do it for and that is why I absolutely stick with it, but it requires a new adjustment :)
