Julian Souisa is a guitarist I got to know trough my good friend Danny Samar. Julian played in some of the projects Danny participated in. He is a humble guy with great guitar skills.
What amazed me more then once is his feeling for timing and funky punch... He breaths music. In the above (older) video he plays the solo of Hotel California.... Doens't it sounds awesome...

I love his sound and funky rhythm guitar, it's a kind of his trademark..
he is very involved in the Moluccan community which is full of great musicians with a lot of funk roots.
When he played with Danny they played in a band called "Get set", this band played a lot of funk covers but also some pop material... I went with a lot of gigs with them, always fun.

This Satriani cover (tears in the rain) shows that he not only masters the funk, but also that his technique is just as good as it gets...
I haven't spoke him lately (but who did i spoke ;) ) , but he is still going strong with his music..
